When I was about 3 years old my parents were driving their black VW bug on a highway in Arizona through a snowstorm and I was fighting with my little brother who was in his car seat. My Dad, one of his college friends, and I made a snowman on the edge of the Grand Canyon and pushed it off.
All while growing up I dreamt of having the coolest treehouse ever. I'd draw up plans, and when my Dad and Uncle built one I was overjoyed. When I'm older, I want to live in a treehouse.
When my and my siblings would go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood, which had few children. Mrs. Boritz, about 90 at the time, would give us heaps of candy and we adored her.
I will always love falling asleep in front of the fire on Christmas Eve listening to the Alvin and the Chipmunks and waiting for Santa Claus.

Watching Dancing with Wolves with my best friend Shannon in the first grade at her house in the woods near a lake. Taking pictures of each other.
Going camping with my Dad, my Uncles, my Grandpa, and my brother up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Paddling an inflatable boat around a lake up there with my brother, and being hella scared of jumping in the clear cold water and being near all those fish swimming around. Playing hide and go seek with them in the forest around the lake.
Caroling in Ellicott City with my Madrigal Choir in high school.
Plotting to start our own country with my friends and middle school, and then playing football in the backyard.
Playing baseball and basketball with my Dad and brother, and then swimming in the Summer Leagues hanging out with friends while waiting to swim backstroke and IMs (all four strokes). My team ALWAYS won!
Late-night trips to Annapolis and Ellicott City with my high school friends.
